A good time was had by all, or at least us and hopefully you, at this year’s A.V. Fest/Hideout Block Party. Friday’s crazy weather threatened to derail us, but Mother Nature eventually cooperated, and the show went on. Saturday offered the kind of weather that could almost make you forget about last winter. Thanks so much to all of the bands: Bad Luck Jonathan, The Handsome Family, Hamilton Leithauser, Death Cab For Cutie, Plastic Crimewave, Empires, Valerie June, Mac DeMarco, The Funky Meters, The Dismemberment Plan, and The War On Drugs. You were each delightful in your own way. And thanks to our various sponsors, of course. And to our friends/partners at the Hideout, who put in an incredible amount of work every year to bring a garbage-truck parking lot to life with music and energy. See you next year! We wouldn’t have a Festival without help from nice people.
