I was condescendingly dismissive / reluctantly impressed when The Killers first hit, but somewhere along the way my feelings shifted. Maybe it was the 500th time I heard "Mr. Brightside." By the time I saw the band live, I knew I'd made a mistake. Brandon Flowers and the gang really sold it and I was suitably impressed. (So was a crowd heavily made up of 8th graders and their parents.)

Flowers has been talking about what a big influence Springsteen had on him between albums, which… well we'll see. The new song, which you can hear here sounds pretty good. I'm not sure what to make of the Old West-meets-T. Rex image makeover, however:
